HOW DOES THIS WORK?
We, through our specialist service (Helix), help UK charities to increase their income by ensuring that appropriate legal status and full HMRC regulatory audit tracking is applied to relevant non-relieved funds held by charities (potentially going back 4 years and excluding loans and already relieved donations) and provide relevant documentation to charities for these funds so that they can claim an extra 25% from the UK Government through Gift Aid
We carry out proprietary activities in the background to comply with all applicable UK law and keep regulatory records relating to all Gift Aid claims made (as a result of our work) by charities for a minimum of 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to (and make these records available to HMRC and the Charity Commission when required)
We also engage with HMRC and the Charity Commission on a charity’s behalf if there are any queries or audits relating to a Gift Aid claim made as a result of our work (should we cease activities, all relevant records will be sent to the relevant charities and insurance provides legal and financial protection for charities using our services for a further 6 years, covering the regulatory record keeping period)
HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
This depends on the work we need to carry out for a particular charity in order for it to make a Gift Aid claim. All fees are determined and agreed with the charity before it’s provided with the relevant documentation by us for it to make a Gift Aid claim. An invoice for the agreed fees is sent to the charity by us along with the relevant documentation and the payment of the invoice by the charity is subject to the agreed outcomes being achieved within a reasonable period of time. There are no other costs or obligations either now or later
